Woodville Elementary School’s crossing at Road 168 and Avenue 167 is identified in Tulare County’s Highway Safety Improvement Program. County documents list the site among three school crossing locations planned for upgrades funded through a state pedestrian-safety set-aside.

The measures described include high-visibility crosswalk markings, rectangular rapid-flashing beacons, advance flashing devices and pavement markings. The county reported an overall cost estimate of $388,500 for the three-location crossing package and a $349,650 state award. These are multi-site project totals, not amounts allocated solely to Woodville.

Families should remain cautious at crossings until improvements are verified as installed and operational. Drivers must continue to yield where required, follow school-zone rules and watch for children even when no warning beacon is active. County project notices provide current scheduling information.
